As heard at the event, during the period, the committee worked with the Ministries of Information and Communications and of Finance to issue 59 documents to guide the implementation. It also conducted regular preparations of communications topics and contents for 19 newspapers and magazines in line with the decision, as well as examined the performance and effectiveness of those publications weekly and monthly.

In his remarks, Hau A Lenh, Minister-Chairman of the committee, affirmed the decision that reflected the Party and State’s special attention to ethnic minority groups.

It helped spread the authorities’ policies and orientations within the communities and collect feedback from the groups to build policies for them, he added.

The official said it is necessary to improve the quality and refresh the designs and contents of these publications following the groups’ actual demand for information.

He also requested the committee to fully capitalise on the advantages brought about by printed newspapers, which show greater strength compared to other media types regarding such audiences.
