Last year, MOLISA worked with other ministries to advise the government on many important policies, especially resolutions on supporting workers and employers who have been affected by the pandemic.
Speaking at a conference on January 12, Deputy PM Dam asked MOLISA to work with other ministries and agencies to implement the multi-dimensional poverty reduction programme in an effective manner.
He also underlined the need to create a children protection network down to the commune level, especially with children being unable to go to school for prolonged periods due to coronavirus.
As the Lunar New Year approaches, the Deputy PM has asked the authorities at all levels to ensure a warm and happy Tet for all people.
Assessing that the pandemic may remain unpredictable in 2022-2023, MOLISA Minister Dao Ngoc Dung emphasised the need to ensure social security and restore production in the time ahead.
He suggested that the government take action to support the recovery and development of the labour market, especially in industrial parks and major industrial hubs.
MOLISA Minister also called for better implementation of policies aimed at supporting workers and employers hit by the pandemic while working towards a social security system that can cope with extensive shocks.
