Gifts presented to ethnic minority children in central Quang Tri province

Huong Linh, Huong Viet and Huong Son kindergartens are located in an extremely difficult commune of the disadvantaged and ethnically diverse district, people here are mostly Van Kieu ethnic minority, children's care and education also met many difficulties and deprivations. With the desire to prepare all good conditions for students to go to school, over the past time, the Provincial Red Cross has called on sponsors to support uniforms for them.
At the event, the delegates, representing the donors, handed over 700 sets of uniforms to all the children of three kindergartens, practically contributing to the early childhood education and improving the quality of learning for them.
Quang Tri Province, situated in north-central Vietnam, is one of the poorest provinces in the country; it is frequently affected by typhoons and was heavily bombed and sprayed with defoliants during the Vietnam war.
The Van Kieu group live mainly in Huong Hoa and Dakrong commune and Lao Bao township. The Van Kieu are also called Tri, Khua, Ma Coong, and Bru. During the war Van Kieu people wholeheartedly followed the revolution and President Ho Chi Minh and adopted Ho as their family name.
